Dr. Mohamed Attia, Egypt, 2016 AAOS International Emerging Leader Scholar

I strongly believe that attendance of the 2016 AAOS Annual Meeting has offered me the best opportunity to learn from an unbound ocean of knowledge resources - research, clinical expertise, multimedia, scientific exhibits, new AAOS publications, instructional courses, posters and Symposia with its condensed knowledge and brain storming.

I was happy to participate in the discussions at the 2016 AAOS International Alumni meeting and to talk to the AAOS international scholars and International Committee members.

Observing at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital was the main focus of my scholarship visit and a great experience of gaining knowledge on hip preservation surgery.

I was warmly welcomed from the start

And also impressed by a rich history and traditions of the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital – the home to the first oral Polio Vaccine.

The faculty and staff made every effort to make my visit a valuable one on the scientific, clinical, and humanitarian levels.

My special thanks to Drs. James McCarthy, Patrick Whitlock, Junichi Tamai, Alvin Jones, Ms. Nichole Leitsinger and Ms. Janis Messer.
